Earlier this week I decided to do a shoot down Llyn Llech Owain country park. It is a great place to do a portrait shoot as it has some wooded areas, a lake, loads of paths and wooden bridges to offer a lot of different scenery to work in. I went there with Kayvan who I have worked with a few times previously. Before the day we were scheduled to go there I checked the weather report and it was suppose to be snowing. Thankfully all the forecasts were correct and it did snow. In the country park it was also sticking, so the floor had a wonderful blanket of snow over it and the trees all looked as if they were dusted with icing sugar. I could not believe my luck as it definitely 100% added to the theme of the shoot which was a smart, casual winter coat. A portrait session in the snow is something that I had been hoping to do at some point but thought it may take a few winters to get a good one.
It was a really great shoot. It was a good laugh working with Kayvan as always and the time flew by. However after a few hours down there we both were freezing and my fingers were going numb but I am really happy with the results that I got. I went with a bit of a Fujifilm stock look in the post editing which works pretty well in wooded areas.
That's all for now. Here is a selection of the photos that I got from the day. To see any other portrait work click HERE
